The near future. Human civilization is under threat from mysterious cosmic radiation emanating from the orbit of Neptune and destroying electrical systems. Astronaut Roy McBride sets out to uncover the nature of these devastating surges. His journey leads him to the place where contact was lost 16 years ago with a mission searching for extraterrestrial life — an expedition led by his father.
