In 1942, Wehrmacht troops marched across the south of the Soviet Union towards Stalingrad. Stalin issues order № 227: not a step back. The secret plan, codenamed «Uranus», had the German army of 320,000 men encircling the city. The disaster of Stalingrad was inevitable. General Paulus asked Berlin to save the remaining German soldiers, but Hitler refused to surrender.
